Guggal Resin

The Guggal Resin is a relative of the African Mirrh but is of Indian origin.

It is a resin of golden brown color.

It belongs to the Burseraceae family, and is a soft rubbery resin, due to the secretion of a shrub,

which is found in the central regions of India.

Its aroma is slightly sweet, balsamic, with a scent of grass, of earth and it also feels a little bit the scent of vanilla.

Purifies the air and the body.

It makes the environment warm, sensual, and relaxing.

It is recommended to use it in the evening, as with its relaxing effect, it frees the body and the mind,

and consequently reconcile sleep.

The perfume produced by the smoke, the combustion of the resin, positioned on the charcoal disc,

gives the sense of cleanliness of the environment, of purification.

It is also recommended for meditation.

It is also used a lot in Ayurvedic medicine, it increases the energy and gives a feeling of general well-being,

(some for this reason they say it rejuvenates).

Burning Incense Resin: Light the charcoal and place it in your incense holder.

Hold the charcoal with tongs. The charcoal will then self-ignite across the surface.

When the charcoal starts to go grey around the edges this is the time to add resin.

Often people add sand to incense holder to help absorb heat.

Incense Resin is sold in tubs. The weights are approximate and are around 45-50g.
